Short description: Anca’s academic journey has taken her across multiple borders. After obtaining her LL.B. from Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, she went on to earn her LL.M. in Global Criminal Law from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, completed by an enriching exchange program at Queen’s University in Canada. The years, the projects and the people of ELSA have taught her multiple and various skills and shaped part of the person she is now. Thus, she wishes that through trainings she is able to give back to the network, which has provided her with so many opportunities to grow and learn.
ELSA experience: Anca was an active ELSA member from 2018 until 2023. She was elected as VP S&C of ELSA Cluj-Napoca for the 2019–2020 mandate, and she was appointed as Director for Human Rights of ELSA Romania for the 2020–2021 mandate. She was also an Assistant for Human Rights in the ELSA International Team in 2021–2022. Afterward, she was a member of ELSA Groningen. During her ELSA career, she participated in various MCCs organised by ELSA, as well as ELSA Delegations, ELSA Traineeships, and Legal Research Groups. Hence, she was an active ELSA member for 5 years, and now she is a Trainer of the International Trainers’ Pool of ELSA, as well as an ELSA Alumna.
